For some users, the registration can sometime fail.
To solve this :
– disable FB in the widget configuration and when it ask to remove configuration, answer ‘yes’
– remove permissions from Facebook website
– and restart the full registration process
It should work.

I have a slightly different problem with Facebook messages…when I attempt to enable Facebook messages, I get the Facebook login screen and after I log in, I get the permissions screen…I click the “allow” button, but nothing happens…it just stays stuck on that screen…I am running Froyo on a Viewsonic gTablet…I have gmail and pop3 working just fine. If I go to my Facebook page via my web browser, and look under applications, I don’t see pure messenger…any ideas?

i just installed the apps today, no facebook messages displayed.
i tried disable fb in config then remove from web then register again to no avail 😦

I too have had no Facebook messages for quite a while. Running 5.1.1 on my Nexus 9,and 5.1 on my Nexus 4.
I have tried logging out and deleting permissions on Facebook to no avail.
Same problem here, no facebook messages at all. Running stock rom on a Galaxy Note4. Please help…
