An OPML file is a XML file listing RSS feeds.
The structure is very simply.

You can quickly export your Google Reader subscription list by using Google Takeout, then extract the ‘subscription.xml’ file from the archive and place it on your phone storage.

Another way to do it is to create your own OPML file with a genarator like FeedShow.

  1. Now that Google Reader is shut down, I decided to try using an OPML file to get my news feed. I created my own and got nothing. Tried using FeedShow as well (output looks similar) and still got nothing. Is there anything else I could be missing?

    1. Please send me your OPML file to allow me to test it (see ‘about’ page for my email).
