Ice cream for everybody

If you can’t see them for Pure calendar and Pure grid calendar, this is normal, you’ll have to wait for the new versions with the new skin server ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Hi, I very much like your widgets because I desparately want a skinnable widget. The stock email widget works great but is quite ugly.

I bought Pure Messenger to display my inbox from the Exchange account I have set up on my Galaxy Nexus (ICS 4.01). I couldn’t get it to work, so I cancelled the buy. I looked into K9 for Pure Widget, but I could not set up my exchange account succesfully in that app. I suspect it does not properly handle the authentication that my university requires, even though stock email client has no problem with it.

Is what I’m trying to do at all possible with Pure Messenger? Ideally, it would simply read the database of the stock client. I’d be willing to root the device, if that is necessary.

    1. Hi,
there is no plan to modify the stock email client. Sorry.
for K9FP compatibility, you can try to contact the official K9 team to see if they have a solution.

Just for my understanding: why would you need to โ€œmodifyโ€ the stock client, you only need to be able to access it from the widget, correct? So you are saying, for the widget to do that, the apps needs to explicitly make that possible and that probably wonโ€™t happen for the stock client.

If this is correct, it means I always would need to use another client than stock to be able to use a better widget. That is important to know.

        Thank you for you help!

      2. I bought, once more, Pure Messenger and installed TouchDown Trial version, since Nitrodeks claims it works well with Pure widgets. Do you agree?
I cannot configure Pure Messenger to use the Exchange email account from Touchdown. It only allows me to select K9FP (which does not support Exchange 2010) and Root Connector, which I can install, because I’m not rooted. Am I missing something?

      3. No, Pure messenger can’t read TouchDown messages because of security policy required by TouchDown.

      4. OK, that means I’ve run out of options, unless you have other suggestions. Are you planning on updating the Root email connector to ICS?

I won’t ask for a refund, I really appreciate the quick feedback you have given me ๐Ÿ™‚

      5. Email connector can’t run on ICS (google added a database protection).
It would require Pure messenger + Email connector + modified Email client. Too complicated ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

      6. OK, thanks. Too bad. Layman question: couldn’t you modify the stock email widget? Or somehow poach its content?

        Again, thanks for the feedback.

      7. No, it is not possible to modify the code of any compiled apps. You can only modify some minor things like graphics or permissions, but not the code.

    1. Hi,
it is running… and I don’t have any trouble with it.
Please email me to analyse the issue (see ‘about’ page for my email).

  2. Your Calendar widget is the first app I install in any new Android device I use..

I recently upgraded to a Nexus S running a ROM of ICS, but for some reason, the very bottom line of the Calendar Widget is cut off. I’ve tried other skins (including this one), plus changing the font size, and the spacing is always the same, with the last line cut off

    1. I uninstalled and reinstalled.. looks like i may have had an older version, but it works fine now. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks anyways! You are welcome to delete this and the parent comment
